Sensitive Information

IES does not request Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial-account or payment-card information, medical information, biometric data, account passwords, or other highly sensitive personal information through the Site's quote-request form. Please do not include this type of information in the scope-details field or in an uploaded file unless IES specifically requests it through an appropriate secure process.

2. Sources of Personal Information

We may obtain personal information:

  • Directly from you, including through the quote-request form, uploaded files, telephone calls, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or other correspondence.
  • Automatically from your browser or device when you access the Site, including through server logs, cookies, or similar technologies used for functionality, security, and performance.
  • From your company or another business contact when that person identifies you as a project, vendor, customer, or professional contact.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Carry out another purpose disclosed to you when the information is collected or with your consent.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site and its hosting, security, and technical service providers may use cookies, server logs, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate, protect, and improve the Site. The Site may also load resources provided by third parties, such as web fonts, which may cause your browser to send technical request information to those providers.

IES does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Because we do not engage in those activities, browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control signals, do not change how we process personal information at this time. If our use of cookies or advertising technologies materially changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice, consent mechanism, or opt-out control required by applicable law.

You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Some Site functions may not operate properly if technologies necessary for functionality or security are disabled.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for legitimate business purposes:

  • Service providers: companies that support website hosting, cloud storage, file handling, communications, information technology, cybersecurity, data backup, and other business operations.
  • Professional advisers: attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, and other advisers when reasonably necessary for their services.
  • Government authorities or other parties for legal reasons: when disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of IES or others.
  • Parties to a business transaction: actual or prospective purchasers, investors, lenders, advisers, or other parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

The categories of information disclosed may include contact identifiers, professional or business information, project and inquiry information, uploaded documents, communications, and technical or usage information, depending on the service provided or purpose of the disclosure.

No Sale or Targeted-Advertising Sharing

IES does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. IES also does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18 years of age.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to and documenting inquiries, evaluating or performing projects, maintaining business records, and satisfying legal, contractual, accounting, tax, insurance, safety, and dispute-resolution obligations.

When determining an appropriate retention period, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, the reason it was collected, the duration of the business relationship or project, applicable limitation periods, legal and contractual requirements, and the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete it, securely dispose of it, or de-identify it, subject to technical backup cycles and applicable law.

7. Data Security

IES uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use care when sending information online and should not submit highly sensitive personal information through the Site's general quote-request form.

8. Privacy Rights for Residents of Certain U.S. States

  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, where applicable.
